I remember as a young child how very much fun Easter was.
We would dye lots of eggs on Saturday night before Easter morning.
When we woke up, we would put on our new Easter clothes and go to Church.
After Church, we would eat a wonderful Easter dinner and wait for Mother
or Daddy to "hide the Easter Eggs". They were good Easter bunnies:)
Mother always made us special Easter baskets and how fun it was
to run with my brothers and sisters to "find the eggs".!!
It as always a contest to see who could find the most and prettiest eggs.
Then after all the eggs were accounted for, we would sit around on the
front porch, and eat Easter eggs until we almost popped!
As I grew older, I came to know the REAL meaning of Easter,
of how Jesus lived on this Earth, died on the Cross, was buried,
and rose on the third day, which is called: Easter.

THE JELLY
BEAN PRAYER
Red
is for the blood He
gave
Green is for the grass He made
Yellow is for the sun so bright
Orange
is for the edge of night
Black is for the sins we made White
is for the grace He gave
Purple
is for His hour of sorrow
Pink is for our new tomorrow
A bag full of jelly beans colorful and sweet,
Is a prayer, is a promise, is a special treat
May the joy of Christ's resurrection

What part of a newspaper does
a rabbit read?
Lettuce to the editor
What did the rabbit say to
the carrot? Its been nice gnawing you.
midi playing:
Here comes Peter
Cottontail,
Hoppin' down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way.
Bringin' every girl and boy
Baskets full of Easter joy,
Things to make your Easter bright and gay.
He's got jelly beans for
Tommy,
Colored eggs for sister Sue,
There's an orchid for your Mommy
And an Easter bonnet, too.
Oh! here comes Peter
Cottontail,
Hoppin' down the bunny trail,
Hippity hoppity, Happy Easter day.
Here comes Peter
Cottontail,
Hoppin' down the bunny trail,
Look at him stop, and listen to him say:
"Try to do the
things you should."
Maybe if you're extra good,
He'll roll lots of Easter eggs your way.
You'll wake up on
Easter morning
And you'll know that he was there
When you find those choc'late bunnies
That he's hiding ev'rywhere.
Oh! here comes Peter
Cottontail,
Hoppin' down the bunny trail,
Hippity hoppity, Happy Easter day. Author

An Easter Prayer
God, give us eyes to see
the beauty of the Spring,
And to behold Your majesty in every living thing -
And may we see in lacy leaves and every budding flower
The Hand that rules the universe with gentleness and power -
And may this Easter grandeur that Spring lavishly imparts
Awaken faded flowers of faith lying dormant in our hearts,
And give us ears to hear, dear God, the Springtime song of birds
With messages more meaningful than man's often empty words
Telling harried human beings who are lost in dark despair -
'Be like us and do not worry for God has you in His care'.
