If you
study Hebrews, Chapter 11, there are many
examples of how bible people lived by faith.
The same kind of faith that we as Christians
must live by today in order to please God.
By studying the faith of Enoch, Abel, Abraham,
Sara, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, the parents of
Moses, and the faith of Moses himself,
the harlot Rahab, and so many more, it gives
me the assurance in the reality of faith.
Most of all God gave His only begotten son,
because He had faith in us, even as sinners,
that we may be saved and come unto Him, and
live with Him eternally.
Hebrews:
11:6: "But without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to
please Him; for he that cometh to God must
believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek Him.
Hebrews
12:2 tells us that Jesus is the author and
finisher of our faith.
Rom.12:1-3
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that Ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service. And be not
conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. For I say, through the
grace given unto me, to every man that is
among you, not to think more highly of himself
than he ought to think; but to think soberly,
according as God has dealt to every man the
measure of faith.”
James 2:20
tell us that "faith without works is dead".
Faith is
something that is considered to be "our part"
to the prayers we pray. We have to expect to
see results, even though in the natural it may
seem that what we have prayed may seem
impossible at the time. We can do this
because God's word says we can, God's word
does not lie, and it will never come back
void.
Romans
10:17 says "So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.
If Noah
hadn't been close to God and lived by faith,
he would have never built the ark. By
faith, the walls of Jericho fell down. This
kind of faith is faith in God and in His
promises.
Galatians
2:20 I am crucified; nevertheless I live; yet
not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life
which I now live in the flesh, I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and
gave himself for me.
Galatians
3:11 But that no man is justified by the law
in the sight of God, IT IS evident: for, THE
JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham
might come on the Gentiles through Jesus
Christ; that we might receive the promise of
the Spirit through faith.
Galatians
3: 23-26 Before faith came, we were kept under
the law, shut up unto the faith which should
afterwards be revealed, wherefore the law was
our schoolmaster TO BRING US unto Christ, that
we might be justified by faith. But after the
faith is come, we ARE NO LONGER under a
schoolmaster.
Galatians 3:26-29 For ye are all the
children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ, there is neither
bond nor free, there is neither male nor
female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus,
and if ye be in Christ's, then are ye
Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the
promise.
In Matthew 8:10, Jesus talks about "great
faith".
Great faith can see from a distance in the
spiritual realm into the natural realm, it
takes God's word at face value.
Faith
conquers our fears. In order to live by faith,
we must know what it is. Faith brings
us in contact with God. Study God's word, get
a good bible that has a concordance, search
the scriptures. The more you seek Jesus,
the more your faith will grow in Him, the
closer to Him your relationship will become,
He rewards faith with Salvation.
Luke
5:20 "And when He saw their faith, He
said unto him.: Man, thy sins are forgiven
thee".
God can see your faith by what you think, by
what you say, by what you do, and when he sees
your faith, he rewards that faith.
By putting
your faith in God, living by His word, giving
your heart and soul to Him, confessing your
sins, and being born again, you can have faith
in the fact that you will receive eternal
life. Living by faith will allow
you to know joy and peace that nothing else in
this natural world can give you. No drug can
compare to the peace only God can give. This
earth is not the end, we are promised
eternity, and eternity is forever and
ever and ever and ever and ever.
Matthew
17:20 "And Jesus said unto them: Because
of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you,
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed,
ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence
to yonder place; and it shall remove: and
nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew 17:21"Howbeit this kind goeth not out
but by prayer and fasting.
One evening
while watching TBN, and listening to
John Hagee,
I learned that this type
of "mustard seed" faith means faith that is
PURE, not mixed. A mustard seed is very very
tiny, but is very very powerful. It is so
pure, it will take over the taste of anything it
is mixed with. Fasting, mixed with prayer
brings about the type of faith that "removes
mountains". (ie: diseases, broken marriages,
drug addiction etc).
There are
many scriptures on faith in the bible.
